Humanized practices of obstetric nurses: contributions in maternal welfare

18 December 2022

The aim of this article is to analyse the practice of obstetric nurses operating in the prenatal/postnatal/postnatal unit of the University Hospital of Mato Grosso and the maternal wellbeing resulting from the care provided in this scenario. The results indicate that the practice of obstetric nurses is based on the humanisation of childbirth, but that the presence of invasive and unnecessary practices in the health service does not positively affect the level of maternal well-being, which was optimal for 76% women.
