Assessing patient-centred communication in teaching: a systematic review of instruments

18 December 2022

The aim of this study was to systematically review existing tools that measure patient-centredness in doctor-patient communication and can be used to provide direct feedback. Despite the widely felt need for valid and reliable tools to measure patient-centred communication, most of those currently available have not been thoroughly investigated. Therefore, further research and improvement of existing instruments for relevance and reliability is recommended.
