The present study was conducted to determine the impact of doctors' communication skills on patient satisfaction.It showed that there was a significant correlation between patient satisfaction and doctors' communication skills (taking adequate time to visit the patient, explaining the diagnosis and treatment procedures). In addition, the doctors' therapeutic skills, their friendly disposition, respect for patients' feelings and attentive examination showed a significant correlation with patient satisfaction. However, no strong correlation was found between effective listening to patients and patient satisfaction.
