"The Encyclopedia of Bioethics" is the first publication in Poland that collects in the form of encyclopaedic entries a discussion of the most important ethical problems related to the development of biomedical sciences. 60 Authors, 115 entries, including: abortion, AIDS, contraception, prenatal diagnosis, human embryo, euthanasia, in vitro, death penalty, cloning, plastic surgery, suicide, sterilisation, artificial insemination, death, terrorism.
"The Encyclopaedia of Bioethics is aimed at all those who are interested in ethical issues related to the development of modern medicine and biology. In compiling the Encyclopaedia, an effort was made to present the entire subject matter in as clear and accessible a manner as possible. At the same time, as all the entries have been compiled by eminent specialists in various fields of medical, biological and philosophical sciences, it maintains a high level of scientific competence and presents up-to-date proposals for solving the most pressing problems in bioethics and medical ethics at the beginning of the 21st century.
