Medicine is changing at a pace never before seen in history. With each passing year, medical technology is achieving the ability to improve treatments that were impossible not long ago. Reproductive technology embodies this concept perhaps better than any other area of medicine. Complex medical care requires a team approach more than ever before. However, the team consists not only of medical and scientific personnel, but also of mental health professionals, lawyers and ethicists. This integrated and multidisciplinary approach to medical care will become even more necessary as medical capabilities will develop faster than society can respond.
