Determinants of ethical conduct of the nurse in oncology care

15 December 2022

The priority of modern oncological care is to treat the person affected by cancer holistically, i.e. as a biological, psychological, social and spiritual unit. The interpersonal relationships that occur during the nursing process are therefore of a very special and individual nature. The oncology nurse focuses her activities not only on the instrumental area, but above all creates the caring environment. However, in her interaction with the patient, his environment, but also her own professional group, she encounters a number of bioethical difficulties. The aim of the present study was to analyse the determinants of ethical nurse-patient relationships in oncological care.
