The first visit to the hospital is a real adventure. At every moment, curiosity mixes with fear. (...) In fact, there is nothing to be afraid of. The director, the orderly, the doctor or the nurse, i.e. the hospital staff, do everything to ensure that the children are the most important, get well and go home. They are reminded of this by the Charter of the Rights of the Child Patient, developed jointly by the Children's Ombudsman and the Patient Ombudsman.
What is the Children's Charter of Patients' Rights? We are sure that this is best explained by Kuba and Buba - the heroes of the book we are handing over to you. The twins will explain in an easy-to-understand way why it is important to listen to the doctor's instructions, who to turn to when someone close to you falls ill, what medical confidentiality is, as well as what you can and cannot do in hospital.
Kuba and Buba will also tell you the most closely guarded secrets of the hospital where they were taken. Together you will experience an adventure full of twists and turns. We are convinced that this story will make you understand the rights of the little patient.
The book was of great interest to the youngest patients and their parents. That is why the Patient Ombudsman, together with the Children's Ombudsman, initiated the publication of an audiobook with the same title. The author of the book is Grzegorz Kasdepke, and the novel is read by the actor Jarosław Boberek. The book will also be available to children in a modern reading format.
The CD publication has also been enriched with a booklet containing games and activities from the book version of the publication to make the stay in hospital facilities more enjoyable for young patients. The audiobook, like its paper version, will be distributed to young patients in paediatric wards, hospital libraries, as well as in primary schools and other educational establishments.
