Pharmacists belong to a group of professions of public trust, with which the obligation of professional secrecy is closely associated. This obligation does not exist in Polish regulations for technicians. In the meantime, the patient in the pharmacy discovers secrets of intimacy. The issue of guaranteeing patient privacy when using pharmacy services is rarely addressed in Poland. Therefore, the study aimed to assess the extent to which the patient's right to privacy is respected when providing pharmaceutical services in mainstream pharmacies in Poland. The tool used was an anonymous questionnaire, which was completed by 178 employees of public pharmacies. The results showed that pharmacy staff representatives should pay more attention to the patient's right to privacy. Furthermore, the conditions in Polish pharmacies need to be changed and adapted to provide patients with more intimacy during pharmaceutical consultations.
