The aim of the study is a broad presentation of the range of rights to which the Polish patient is entitled. The considerations include the rights of recipients of health care services under the Act on health care services financed from public funds, an analysis of the Act on patients' rights and the Patients' Rights Ombudsman, as well as a discussion of the duties of medical professionals in respecting patients' rights. The deliberations are aimed at presenting the achievements of international, European and Polish law, judicial decisions and legal doctrine in the field of patient rights protection.
