Dignity of the child - the doctor's reflection
The concept of dignity is defined in the context of paediatrics, based on Janusz Korczak's concept of children's rights. The author, a children's hospice physician, discusses the following rights of sick children: the right to life and death; the right to protection from violence, pain and fear; the right to privacy; the right to information and decision-making; and the right to participate in and withdraw from a medical experiment.
