Paediatrics is the medical speciality that deals with the health and development of newborns, infants, pre-school, school-aged children and adolescents. Patients in these different age groups require the doctor caring for them to create a different relationship. The doctor-patient collaboration in paediatrics is also specific because of the participation in the treatment process of the child's parents, who, especially in the first period, become the main subject during the collection and transfer of information. It is also important to be particularly mindful of the subjective treatment of the patient at any age, in proportion to his or her intellect, in order to obtain the best possible therapeutic effect.
