(doctor-patient relationship)
Trust between doctor and patient has therapeutic value in addition to its ability to build a lasting relationship, modelling the behaviour of both partners. Despite the growing interest in this issue, it still requires in-depth research. Hence, the aim of this article is to create a concept of trust in the doctor-patient relationship based on the results of a qualitative study - content analysis of internet forums. It has emerged that trust in the doctor is the result of the interpenetration and overlapping of two levels: trust on the macro and meso scale. Trust at the macro scale can be seen as the context in which the dimensions of institutional trust are 'nested'. Meso-scale (institutional) trust, on the other hand, is viewed through the lens of three dimensions: benevolence, competence and reliability.
