Talking to the sick is one of the most difficult tasks facing doctors, nurses and relatives of sick people. A modern nurse cannot be a true professional without the ability to communicate her knowledge properly and without a good ability to interpret messages given to her by the patient appropriately. However, there are few publications that comprehensively cover communication in nursing practice. Establishing contact with a sick person is not easy, so efficient communication should already be taught during studies. Knowledge of verbal and non-verbal communication allows the nurse to better understand the patient and his or her needs, while the patient is guaranteed a sense of security and does not feel negative emotions resulting from a sense of misunderstanding. The book, written by a team of doctors, nurses, psychologists, speech therapists and philosophers, presents in an accessible way the ways of communication in nursing
